Figure 48: Changing the Modbus port 12.2.2 Modbus RTU The activation of the Modbus RTU connection and the process of adding a DAT-Module are described in Chapter 12.2.1 Modbus. Figure 49: Configuration options for Modbus RTU The following parameters can be configured for Modbus RTU: 1. Serial Device: Select which interface is used for physical communication a. 0 -> Interface on the 16-pin connector located on the top side of the COM-Module b. 1 -> Interface on the 8-pin connector located on the right side of the COM-Module 2. Serial Mode: Choose the parity and stop bit settings for the connection. These settings must match those of the client device. The following options are available: a. Even parity, 1 stop bit b. Odd parity, 1 stop bit c. No parity, 2 stop bits 3. Serial Baud Rate: Defines the transmission speed. To establish a working connection with another Modbus RTU device, all participants must use the same baud rate. The following baud rates are available: a. 1200, 2400, 4800, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200
